Kamala Harris, Vice president and current democratic candidate for the US president has been receiving backlash for her attempts to attract young voters. These events started when she invited platinum-selling rapper, Megan the Stallion, to her Atlanta Rally. Considering the crude content of her music and recent events following her shooting case with former partner, Tory Lanez, it has caused major controversy with Kamala’s campaign and alignments. Reporters such as Ben Shapiro have referred to this moment as “cringe” and “awkward” basically believing that Megan the Stallion’s performance was an insult to US Politics. There could be some reasons besides youth that led to these events unfolding. One of them might have been to grab female attention for Kamala’s campaign. The phrase “Hotties for Kamala” is her trying to be more in touch with female voters in today's era. However, these acts ended up creating more negative press and talking points for Donald Trump. As a result, Kamala ended up trying to ask other famous young celebrities to support and advocate for her presidential campaign. Kamala Harris has tried numerous times to do a stream with Kai Cenat without any success. Kai Cenat and his group known as the AMP have been very vocal about avoiding politics with their content. With the election becoming a close race, it is key that Kamala Harris focuses on appealing to the youth in a way that does not make her look desperate against Donald Trump.
